Al-Futtaim expands watches portfolio

Al-Futtaim Watches and Jewellery has added expanded its retail portfolio by introducing the luxury Swiss watch brand 88 Rue Du Rhone in the UAE.

The Dubai-based company already boasts a number of global brands under its umbrella such as Kolber, Seiko, Raymond Weil, Esprit, Fossil and Westar etc.

Speaking at a press conference in Dubai, Pierre Bernheim, co-founder of 88 Rue Du Rhone, said the group has already introduced its products in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman and now it’s come to the UAE.

Pierre Bernheim, Director of Raymond Weil Geneve and Co-Founder of 88 Rue Du Rhone, said: “The UAE is an interesting market because while it is extremely receptive to luxury products, it has an eye for good value. 88 Rue Du Rhone is designed to offer the best of both these worlds and I am excited to see the reaction we get from shoppers in this country.”

Bernheim is the grandson of popular Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil.

Starting at Dh1640, the brand offers world-class watches with sophisticated design at an affordable value.

88 Rue Du Rhone unveiled launched its first collection, Double 8 Origin, in 2012, featuring over 88 Quartz, Automatic and Chronograph timepieces that range from 29 mm to 45 mm.
