Al Habtoor City, a major residential and hospitality development under construction by Al Habtoor Group, is set to employ thousands of people.

The Group said recruitment teams are hiring locally and abroad to ensure a diverse mix of nationalities and skillsets.

The City will open its doors to the public later this year.

"There will be about thousands of staff in Al Habtoor City. The jobs will include everything from reception staff to general managers. In addition, there will be aquatic coaches and various artists. There is a diverse mix of opportunities," Al Habtoor Group Chairman Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor said.

"Because of the nature of the varied roles we will be hiring locally and internationally to ensure we get the best people for the job. We are anticipating at least 125 different nationalities working at Al Habtoor City. There will be a big focus on GCC nationals - including Emiratis to fulfill our Emiratisation programme and ensure locals play an active role in our economy," he added.

There will be more than 150 staff employed by Dragone for the exclusively choreographed water themed theatrical production within Al Habtoor City. This will include artists, crew and show management.

In addition, Al Habtoor City employs approximately 5,000 construction workers, and once complete there will be multiple other jobs available in the restaurants along the marina and boulevard, as well as contractors for security and valet roles.

The Al Habtoor Group currently employs thousands of people in the UAE in many sectors of the economy, including hospitality, automotive, car rental, education, real estate and publishing.

Al Habtoor City is a multi-use development incorporating three five-star Starwood-branded hotels, alongside three residential towers. In addition, there will be a tennis academy, a European-style boulevard lined with retail outlets, a marina and multiple restaurants.
