Pictured Saudi student aiming gun at teacher spurs anger

A picture showing a student aiming a gun at the back of his teacher during class at a boys’ school in Saudi Arabia has caused anger among teachers, who called on authorities to give school managements greater powers.

The picture, published in the Saudi Arabic language daily Sada, showed the student aiming a gun at his teacher whose back was to the students while giving a lesson. Neither the student nor the teacher and other school boys’ faces are seen in the picture as it was taken by the armed school boy.

“The student deliberately did not show faces in the picture so he will get away with it. The picture was circulated on smart phones by many teachers, who expressed their anger and called on the Ministry of Education to give school managements more powers to put an end to such erratic behaviors,” the paper said without naming the school or mentioning where it is located in Saudi Arabia.

Man kills “late” cleaner

A Saudi man stepped out of his house and went straight to the Asian cleaner in the neighbourhood and asked him to clean near his house. The Asian told him he would do so after he finishes cleaning near the two neighbouring houses.

When the Saudi returned home later and noticed that the Asian has not cleaned in front of his house, he went mad and screamed at him.

“The Asian then hurried and started cleaning near the Saudi man’s house…as he was busy, the Saudi man pulled a knife and stabbed him many times until he died,” Sabq Arabic language daily said in a report from the capital Riyadh.

It said the man then went straight into his house and waited for the police.
