A 30-year old Saudi wife identified only as Kholoud was arrested for doing stunts in a car in Makkah at 3 in the morning.

According to reports in several Saudi newspapers, the woman had her car flagged down because she was doing various stunts on the road which were dangerous.

The reports added that the wife took advantage of her sleeping husband and sneaked out with the key of his Toyota Corolla car.

A bystander then called the police and reported that car was driving in a dangerous manner and doing stunts.

The police patrol moved and found it was a woman who was driving the car and the stunts, while dangerous suggesting she had professional driving experience.

They summoned the husband who was reportedly aghast because he did not know his wife could drive at all.

Major Abdul Mohsen Al Maiman, press spokesman at the Mecca police said in a statement that the husband filed a complaint against her and signed an acknowledgment that he would not allow his wife to drive the car again.

Power down… Saudi bride out

An angry Saudi bride changed her mind and decided to leave her wedding after an eight-hour power failure plunged the marriage hall into darkness.

Guests were still pouring into the dark hall before it was dimly lit by candles but the bride was still not satisfied.

"It was a tragic night on my wedding…I was carrying lanterns and candles and moving among guests,” the Saudi groom said.

“What made me more sad was that the bride refused to come with me home…she left the wedding and returned to her family, insisting on having another proper wedding,” he told Aljazeera newspaper, which did not say where in Saudi Arabia the wedding was held.
