ILLINOIS: Peoria police have accused a 66-year-old Peoria man of having sex with an underage girl.
According to police documents, Terryl G. Peters is accused of having sex with the girl three times at his house in 2009 and 2010 when she was 7.
"After each incident he would tell the victim not to tell anyone of their activities," a probable cause statement from the police said.
The victim accused Peters of a fourth incident in which he reached up her shirt, authorities said.
Peters was arrested June 23 by Coconino County Sheriff's Office deputies on State Route 87 near Happy Jack. He was transported to Peoria where he declined to answer questions, police said.
Woman impregnated by 15-year-old
INDIANA: An eastern Indiana woman faces a felony charge alleging that she repeatedly had sex with a 15-year-old boy who eventually impregnated her.
Twenty-three-year-old Jessica M. Thompson of Richmond appeared Friday in Wayne County Circuit Court for an initial hearing on one count of sexual misconduct with a minor. She remained jailed Saturday on a $10,000 cash bond.
The Palladium-Item reports court documents allege Thompson began chatting with the boy on MySpace when she was 22. Both Thompson and the teen told police the juvenile told Thompson during initial chats that he was 18.
Thompson told police she later discovered the boy was 15, but they continued having sex until she became pregnant.
Police said DNA testing determined the now 16-year-old boy is the father of Thompson's child.
Freed inmate rearrested for not leaving
US: A man who'd just been released from jail in northern North Carolina was arrested again for refusing to leave the jail after authorities wouldn't give him a ride to a motel.
The News & Record of Greensboro reports that 37-year-old Rodney Dwayne Valentine was charged with trespassing.
Valentine was released from the Rockingham County jail Saturday morning after being behind bars since May 22. The sheriff's office says he asked them to drive him to a local motel and they refused. Deputies charged Valentine with second-degree trespassing when he had refused to leave the jail by Saturday afternoon.
He's being held on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 9. It was not clear if he has a lawyer.
