Cairo Police have arrested two persons with criminal records after they allegedly raped a 23-year-old air hostess, who was in a car with her boyfriend, in a cemetery area.

According to a report in Egypt’s Al Wafd daily, the two were both employed as drivers, and were identified as A.A. and K.A.M.

The Nasr City Police station received a call from the 23-year-old Egyptian air hostess, identified as H.M. Mohammed, and her 25-year-old boyfriend, an engineer identified as A.F.H., that they were in their car near the Copts cemetery when two persons attacked them and raped her after threatening them with a knife.

She added that the accused also seized their personal belongings while she was with her boyfriend in his car.

According to the air hostess, she was shocked when one of the two accused broke the windshield of their car and grabbed the ignition key, while the other threatened them with a knife in his hand.

The engineer boyfriend said they were forced to disembark from the car, after which the two accused took turns to sexually assault his girlfriend, and seized a laptop and their mobiles in addition to 250 Egyptian pounds.

Police investigations implicate the two accused, who have been involved in previous such cases, police said.
