Philippine box-office queen has finally admitted that her husband was beating her up and having a relationship with another woman while they were together, as she thanked her fans and friends for their support while her son warned his stepdad to stay away.

Ai-Ai de las Alas, a Filipino box-office queen, comedienne, actress and singer, also said she has realised that Jed Salang, 20 years younger whom she married in a civil ceremony in Las Vegas last month, did not love her at all.

She confessed on a TV show the times when he would shove her off the bed and dragged her out of their bedroom, telling her that they should be staying at a hotel and resort in Metro Manila’s Parañaque City so he could play at its casino for days.

Emirates24|7 first reported Ai-Ai de las Alas and Jed Salang split. Ai-Ai De Las Alas' 29-day marriage to Jed Salang breaks the record of Kim Kardashian's 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries.

However, Sancho, De las Alas’s son from a previous relationship, took to social media and warned Salang not to show up his face anywhere near him, his siblings and his mom. But not before he thanked his mother’s fans and friends for their support.

“Jed Salang is now ‘Loser not found’ on Instagram,” Sancho posted on May 20.

Radio and TV reporters, meanwhile, could not reach Salang to get his side of the story after he and his 48-year-old wife called it quits about eight months before their scheduled church wedding in the Philippines on December 8.

Last Sunday, De las Alas told Boy Abunda, host of ‘The Buzz’, a weekly entertainment show on ABS-CBN, that she was glad her nightmare was over after more than a month of marriage and about 18 months of being together.

She said she was in denial for a while about what Salang had been doing to her because of her love for him and despite him having another woman in his life in the whole time they were together. She’d also thought that their marriage would turn him a new leaf.

She took to Twitter to express gratitude to her fans and friends in showbiz who have prayed for her and showered her with gifts and flowers.

ABS-CBN President Charo Santos, formerly an award-winning actress and the 1976 Baron Travel Girl, sent her a bouquet of flowers while Willie Revillame, host of the noontime show ‘Wowowillie’ on TV5, gave her a Louis Vuitton bag.

“Good morning … I was so happy when I woke up this morning … here Willie Revillame is my visitor …. You are one true friend. Thank you for the LV bag,” she tweeted on May 20.

She also tweeted, “Thank you, Lord. And to all the Filipinos here in the country and in all parts of the world, thank you for your prayers, support and love. God bless everyone.”

She attended the live telecast of ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ (Philippines Has Got Talent), an ABS-CBN show based on a ‘Got Talent’ franchise conceived by Simon Cowell, on Sunday and went straight to the awarding ceremonies of Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship.

Showbiz insiders described De Las Alas as doing fine, as she has been carrying on with her life and work and refused to sulk at a corner after what she had gone through with Salang.

De las Alas has done several movies including blockbuster hits, two of which are ‘Ang Tanging Ina’ (The Ultimate Mother) and ‘Sisterakas’, a pun from the phrase ‘sister act’, where she stars with presidential sister Kris Aquino.

She has also released her first album with Star Records titled ‘Ang Tanging Ina N’yo’ (Your Ultimate Mother) featuring six novelty tunes.

Born Martina Aileen de las Alas, Ai-Ai had an engineer for a father and was adopted by her spinster aunt, Justa de las Alas. She earned a MassComm degree from Far Eastern University.

She was married to actor Miguel Vera, by whom she has two children. She has another son from a previous relationship.
