Academy Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie has revealed she considers herself to be a normal mother.

The 42-year-old actress - who has sons Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, and Knox, nine, as well as daughters Shiloh, 11, Zahara, 13, and Vivienne, nine, with her estranged husband Brad Pitt - has claimed that despite being a wealthy, Oscar-winning movie star, she still experiences the same stresses as most parents around the world.

Angelina admitted to Deadline: "We're all trying to find balance."

The Hollywood star conducted the interview alongside director Nora Twomey, who helmed the animated drama movie 'The Breadwinner' in 2017.

The film tells the story of a young Afghan girl whose father is sent to prison, and so she has to dress as a boy to work in order to support her mother.

Asked how she balances her career with the demands of parenthood, Angelina explained: "I think that's life, isn't it?

"I'm sure you're the same as a person. You have your creative, and you have your work, and every day of your life is going to be about somehow growing as a person. Somehow feeling you can contribute to the extent that you can get tribute."

And Angelina - who executive produced the movie - sees a lot of parallels between herself and Nora.

She shared: "Nora and I, when we spend time alone, spend most of our time just talking about being moms, and I think that's the balance.

"We're all trying to find balance, as people. I think to be a balanced person, you have to find those things that you just purely enjoy."

Meanwhile, Angelina previously admitted that prior to adopting her children, she never really considered becoming a mother.

She confessed: "It's strange, I never wanted to have a baby. I never wanted to be pregnant. I never babysat. I never thought of myself as a mother."
