If you ever dared to think that the "Harlem Shake" fever has effectively ended (or, more accurately speaking, been beaten to its death), think again.

Because this time it's in your backyard - at Atlantis The Palm and it's time to put on your dancing shoes.

Event organisers, My Music X, offers a chance to win “meet and greet” and perform live with Baauer by posting your own “Harlem Shake” moves online.

No matter how ridiculous you look in your "Harlem Shake" videos - go for it.

My Music X, the first music event of its kind to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has announced it will be bringing “Harlem Shake” musician Frank Baauer.

The organisers will bring the American DJ and producer of the heavy bass instrumental track that has sparked a global dance phenomenon on social media, as the latest artist to participate during the live event at Atlantis The Palm on Thursday 28th March as part of the three day music extravaganza, taking place in Dubai from 27 – 30 March.

My Music X has now also launched a competition that encourages the UAE and regional dance lovers to create their own funky Harlem Shake video and post it on the My Music X website in the community section or on the My Music X facebook page https://www.facebook.com/mymusicx  to win an exclusive meet and greet pass.

Not only will the winner be able to meet and greet Baauer, but he/she will be granted a once in a life time opportunity to perform their winning Harlem Shake dance and moves on stage as Baauer plays the track that is now part of a worldwide dance craze.   It will be the first time that Harlem Shake has been played live on stage by its creator in the Middle East.

Baauer’s Harlem Shake was first launched in May 2012 and went viral around the world in February 2013 when a YouTube video of the Harlem Shake dance was created and gained over 300,000 views in 24 hours.

The 30-second video featured people dancing to the song and was imitated more than 12,000 times in other user-submitted videos across the world. From individuals, companies, and brands, thousands of videos and millions of views have been recorded of the Harlem Shake videos.

When the YouTube video developed with the same name “Harlem Shake”, Baauer’s track reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, New Zealand and Australia, and number three in the UK.

Influenced heavily by southern hip-hop and UK bass sounds, Baauer has found himself in the heart of an electronic musical renaissance.

Baauer is an American producer who has been making house and electro dance music from the age of 13. He also produced a track under the name Captain Harry and produced remixes for Nero, The Prodigy, Flosstradamus, and No Doubt.
