Aishwarya's Aaradhya grants Amitabh's wish

A grandfather-granddaughter relationship is always special. When Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan became a grandfather for the third time, it was a special moment, especially considering that Aaradhya Bachchan was the first child of his daughter-in-law and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai and his son Abhishek Bachchan.

Amitabh, through his tweets and blogs, has been updating his fans on his granddaughter's life. He has even gone on record saying all that he covets now is not a film role but some attention from his youngest grandchild.

He said: "The only thing that I want her to do right now is that she should start giving us some importance and realise that I am her grandfather. The only thing that she has been able to understand, according to me, is that this bearded person is going to play an important role in her life. She keeps playing with my beard."

Just shy of her first birthday, Aaradhya has finally granted her grandfather's fondest wish. She recently welcomed him with the words 'Dada' (grandfather) without any prompting.

Amitabh Bachchan tweeted: T 923 - One of the most endearing moments of life ... when your grandchild, without any prompting calls out on seeing you .. DADA !!

What else could a 70-year-old doting grandpa ask for?

Aaradhya will celebrate her first birthday on November 16.
