Even as Salman Khan’s fans and Bollywood glitterati tried to look at the human being side of the Being Human mascot and Bollywood actor Salman Khan, Twitteratti made their displeasure felt over the decision by the Bombay High Court acquitting Khan in the hit and run case that took place 13 years ago.

Salman Khan was accused of having driven the car which killed one and injured four in a case dating back to 2002. The order came in Thursday exonerating Khan from all charges.

“It has indeed taken a long time says,” Anees Bazmee whose recent film Welcome Back ironically says it all.

“There were a lot of things that the court had to look into, but then it is a relief for all of us, him,  his family, the movie fraternity and his fans,” opines Bazmee who has directed Khan in films like No Entry and Ready.

“It is good news for Salman and us. He has been avoiding marriage for long. Now he should settle down,” says Hema Malini, the actress and politician who has worked with Salman Khan.

While senior journalist and columnist Shobhaa De tweeted, If Salman didn’t do it, who did? Twitter meanwhile was abuzz with reactions like, “Now we know that the car was drunk.”
