Is this the most beautiful volleyball player in the world?

As 17-year-old Sabina Altynbekova from Kazakhstan goes from spiking balls at the net for her under-19 national side, she now how has to deal with being an international online celebrity.

The question now being asked is, is she perhaps the most beautiful sportswoman in the world?

The brouhaha all started with Sabina’s volleyball coach who found her beauty distracting other players as the crowds that began to show up at her games behaved like there was only one player on the court.

"It is impossible to work like this," Nurlan Sadikov, coach of the nation's under-19 team, told Tengrin News. "The crowd behaves like there is only one player at the championship."

Sabina Altynbekova first rocketed to fame at a tecent tournament in Taiwan – her pics going viral.

Since then, YouTube videos of her have received hundreds of thousands of views.

There are now numerous Facebook fan pages, a Twitter account, but Altynbekova's official online presence appears to be an Instagram account and a page on VK, a social network popular in Europe, Russia and Kazakhstan.

According to a report in the Huffington Post, Altynbekova's mother, Nuripa Amrievna, said the new star had been attending a boarding school for gifted children and recently entered Kazakh University for Humanities and Law.

"I wanted her to be admitted to the law (school), but she chose sports," she said.

She added that her daughter has been asked to model.

"But she will not go there -- we as parents are against (it)," she was quoted as saying.
