A well-known Syrian actor has become the latest victim of online Facebook scams when an unknown person impersonating him sent out invitations for women saying he wants to date them, a Kuwait newspaper said Thursday.

Jamal Suleiman, one of the most popular actors in Syria, said he was infuriated by this unknown person, who forged his personal information to set up a “Jamal Suleiman Facebook Group” and invite members to join it.

“What makes me really mad is that this person said through Facebook that he is interested in women and wants to date them and have a relationships…that means this person has a bad intention and only wants to ruin my good relationship with my fans,” Suleiman told the Alanba Arabic newspaper.

“This is an immoral and unethical act…I have nothing to do with this group as I have been quite busy for Ramadan..…I have been shuttling between Syria, Egypt and Algeria and I have no time for such things.”
