A British DJ who has been declared the World’s Sexiest DJ will send temperatures soaring even higher at a Dubai show next weekend.
Kellie Acreman returns to Dubai for a show at the Crowne Plaza Dubai’s Zinc nightclub on August 5.
Having performed at gigs all around the world over the last 18 months, she has proved her abilities as a leading Female DJ, destroying the decks and the competition wherever she goes.
In 2009, Nuts Magazine declared her the “World’s Sexiest DJ” (Nuts Magazine July 2009), and she has been acclaimed and supported by top spinmaster Judge Jules.
The 27-year-old model / DJ, originally from Torquay in Devon, decided to leave the country life behind in 2005 and follow her dream of becoming a successful glamour model in London’s bright city lights.
From an appearance in a lad’s magazine, she modelled for major underwear chains such as Victoria Silvestedst and Janet Reger, following it up with acting and TV work, most notably on the celebrity/model boxing tournament “Catfight” and the “Big Brother”-style “Vanity Lair”.
Always on the go and with a sheer determination to succeed alongside a deep passion for music, Kellie taught herself to DJ, initially just for fun.
This proved her natural talent and ability to master the technicalities involved and eighteen months on Kellie’s success is evident. She has DJed in a range of clubs all over the world including the Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Miami, Chicago, Spain, Chamonix, London, Moscow, Croatia and India.
She is also the DJ of choice for many celebrity parties – so far she’s played for Ne-Yo, Jenna Jameson, T-Pain and most recently, Lindsay Lohan.
This career move has now become Kellie’s main focus due to the amazing success she has achieved.
So much so, she has taken the next step up by producing and providing vocals on her own tracks and 2010 looks set to be a year of new music and new markets.
Kellie Acreman performs at Zinc, Crowne Plaza Dubai on August 5. Doors open 10pm, free entrance before 11.30pm, Dh150 after.
