Did blow-torch cockpit blaze crash missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370?

A new report claims that British lawyers have believe missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 may have crashed due to a fire in the cockpit, which then raged through the plane.

According to the report on Indian website DNA, which quotes the Daily Star, this is based on an incident in 2011, when the flight deck of an EgyptAir plane caught fire after short circuit.

The plane was still on the ground and no one was hurt in the incident.

The report, which quotes legal firm Stewarts Law, states the belief is that the Malaysia Airlines plane had suffered a "blow-torch-style" blaze Stewarts Law specialises in plane crashes.

Quoting a lawyer from the firm the report explains that this type of wiring fault can cause a type of fire that will melt aluminium in seconds.

The report speculates that this resulted in the aircraft turning back and disappearing over the Indian Ocean.
