12 babies born on UAE National Day

12 babies born on December 2 added to the joy of 44th UAE National Day celebrations.

Nine of the little ones were born in Abu Dhabi, and 3 others in Ras Al Khaimah, reports Arabic daily Al Bayan.

Until mid-afternoon on Wednesday Abu Dhabi Corniche Hospital, UAE's largest maternity hospital, saw nine babies.

The hospital staff distributed gifts and sweets to all mothers and newborns in the hospital.



Dana, Omar, Rashid, are some of the lucky ones born on the day when the Union was formed.

Little girl, Dana Ali Yamahi, was the first born in Corniche Hospital. Her mother said: "We were preparing for the celebration of the National Day and she has added a lot of joy to this celebration".



Haya Mohammad Al Amro was second child born on National Day. The elated mother said: "I never imagined that the birth of our child will coincide with National Day, we are very blessed to receive such a wonderful surprise on this day."



Third child Maha Zayed Al Zaabi's father was delighted and expressed his joy, saying: "National Day means a lot to us, and we hope to give our child qualities of our ancestors who have led our nation to a better life. Our feeling is incredible that a child born in this day and I feel we are very fortunate."



Speaking on the occasion, hospital CEO Linda Clark added: "We are pleased to be part of this joyous occasion and strive to make this beautiful journey an unforgettable one for the mother and the baby's family."



On the other hand, Ras Al Khaimah Hospital yesterday witnessed the birth of three children.

The hospital welcomed Rashid, Omar and Ruban Ali.

Dr. Mark Gore, executive director of the Hospital of Ras Al Khaimah said the babies and the mothers were all in good health and in a stable condition.
