Another big building project of more than one million square feet is under way, said Yusuf Abdullah ,head of building permits section at Buildings Department of Dubai Municipality.
Dubai Municipality is studying this grand building project to be implemented in Garhoud area which will have shopping complexes, corporate offices and residential flats as well, he said.
He said the new edifice will consist of 70 shops, 25 offices and 280 residential flats ranging between 1600 to 2400 square feet in size. The complex also will have 580 parking lots.
According to him, department has completed the initial study of the project and has sent for detailed consultation.
He also added saying that normally, the process to get license for multi-storied buildings would take 7 to 10 days.
He said all transactions with the department on licensing and other building related matters can now be done online.
