European dies after car plunges into Ajman port

A 50-year-old European man was killed after his car plunged into the water in Ajman while driving late night, a newspaper said on Monday.

Rescuers found the body of the unidentified man and his car which was completely submerged in the water opposite Ajman port, Emarat Alyoum daily said, quoting Lt Salim Al Zaabi, customer service chief at Ajman’s civil defence.

“Both the body and the car were plucked out of the water…the car had apparently veered off and plunged into the water,” he said.
