Global Happiness Organisation (GHO), a non-profit organisation that deploys scientific approaches to enhance happiness across the world, has announced the opening of a new chapter in Dubai, UAE, and the appointment of Saeed Al Nazari as its first UAE chapter's president.
This is part of the GHO movement for spreading happiness across the globe.
"The reason we decided to launch GHO in the UAE is because of our good contacts with people in the country who are passionate about our work and know a lot about the research behind happiness," said Ludvig Lindstrom, the president of GHO.
"GHO aims to embed happiness in people's DNA and I will ensure to maximise my efforts to help inject happiness to every single field in Dubai," Al Nazari said.
"Since the birth of the UAE, happiness was the leaders' main vision and it drove them to develop and lead exceptionally. Our nation's success journey in achieving happiness will continue towards higher results and global competitiveness," he said.
Ludvig also mentioned the interests of the UAE government and the vision to achieve the happiness of its citizens. It is an aspect that has made him see GHO's opportunity to a great success in the UAE.
As per the world happiness report compiled in 2013, UAE has been ranked 14th amongst the happiest countries in the world and the happiest in the Arab world.
The government is aiming to be amongst the top 10 happiest countries in the world.
The introduction of Global Happiness Organisation will help in spreading happiness through many community activities and work, and align with the vision of achieving people's happiness, said Ludvig.
