Indian found hanging at construction site

An Indian man was found hanging from a scaffold in Fujairah on Monday.

According to a report in Al Khaleej, the deceased, aged 46, is suspected to have committed suicide.

Fujairah Police found him hanging with an electric cable strung around his neck from the scaffold in a building under construction near the main gate of Fujairah Port.

Major Hamad Rashid Al Yamhi, Head, Al Shamel Police Station, said an emergency team rushed to the site upon receiving a tip-off.

The Indian was working for the company, which carried out the project.

Investigations continue to determine the exact cause of his death, while the body has been transferred to Fujairah Hospital for autopsy.
 
Two injured in cylinder explosion
 
In another tragic incident on Monday in Sharjah, two Indians were hurt in a gas cylinder explosion in a warehouse.
 
The men were rushed to Al Qassimi Hospital with burn injuries to their body, reported Al Khaleej.
 
The explosion took place in a metal scrap warehouse in Sharjah Industrial Area.
 
Civil defence officials were at the site within minutes of the explosion.
