One way to enjoy fireworks at Palm, Burj Khalifa & Burj Al Arab on NYE all at once

Do you want to see the fireworks from Burj Khalifa, Atlantis, Burj Al Arab, and the World Islands all at once on New Year's Eve?

This is possible by simply hopping on board the Dubai Ferry, operated by the Road and Traffic Authority (RTA) in a special New Year's Eve tour.

There is no need to position yourself hours in advance at the location of your choice, nor is there the need to worry about traffic restrictions or chaos expected on the last evening of the year.

Once you are on board the ferry, the vessel will gently carry its passengers to the best firework-spotting locations and guarantee that the most spectacular shows can be seen.

The special round trip starts from Dubai Marina Mall water transport station, cruises along the Marina Canal, and then gets onto the coastal waters of Dubai.

Once it is positioned between Palm Jumeirah Island and the World Islands, it will anchor for 20 minutes, offering the full panorama that shall be filled with the anticipated fire work shows.

In an attempt to set a new world record, a six-minute show will be projected in the air space between the two islands just after midnight, covering a distance of approximately 100km of seafront and feature over 400,000 fireworks.

In the background, spectators on the ferry will be able to view the fireworks on world's largest tower the Burj Khalifa, where thousands of spectators line up every year in the hope of the best viewing spot.

There are three options, all with different pricing and boarding times.

The cheapest option is the water bus, with individual tickets selling for Dh75. Tickets are available in advance at Al Seef, Al Ghubaiba and Dubai Marina Mall water transport stations. Boarding for the water bus starts at 11.30pm.

The Dubai Ferry is slightly more expensive. Silver Class tickets are sold for Dh150, and Gold Class tickets for Dh225 per person. A 50 per cent discount is offered for children between 2 and 10 years old. The ferry starts boarding at 11pm.

For a more private tour, the water taxi can be chartered. The ticket fare is Dh1,200 per trip, which can be shared by up to 10 passengers on board. Boarding will start at 11pm, but the taxi must be booked in advance by calling 8009090.

Of course, there are a number of other ways to enjoy the world record fireworks. Must read: 6 perfect spots to watch Dubai’s ‘sunrise at midnight’ NYE fireworks.
