Just when you though it was time to pack away that sunscreen and air out that sweater, the mercury defies the season once again with the weekend temperatures expected to reach 31 degrees Celsius in the internal parts of the UAE.

The heat will be further fuelled by the discomfort of the humidity, which could reach highs of 99 per cent over the weekend, with possibility of fog to descend onto parts of Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah in the morning hours.

The past few days has seem visibility drop as low as 25 metres in parts of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the northern emirates with heavy fog conditions in the coastal areas and the western part of the capital.

The country’s National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology stated Friday will be hazy to partly cloudy, witnessing “another slight rise in temperatures, while the sea will become rough in the Arabian Gulf Friday morning.”

Saturday may bring in hazier climes with dust blowing over some internal areas, especially in the western region.

The Arabian Sea will be continue to rough during the morning period, becoming moderate by noon.

Those planning overnight trips to the desert or the beach are advised to proceed with caution.
