Two Emirati sisters, maid killed in Sharjah car crash

Two Emirati sisters and their Sri Lankan maid died in an accident on Maleha Road on Sunday morning, police said.

The sisters, identified as Amna Misbah, 27, and Iman Misbah, 21, died when their car collided with another car, according to a report in Al Khaleej.

A police spokesman said the cause of the accident was overspeeding and not paying enough attention to the road.

Car thieves target cars during prayer times

The Commander General of the Ajman Police, Ali Abdulla Alwan, has called upon residents and people who visit the mosque to pray to secure their vehicles while parking in public places or near the mosques specially during the Taraweeh prayers.

He also called on them to avoid leaving any valuables and personal belongings inside their cars.
 
According to a report in Al Khaleej,  Ajman Police intensified the number of police patrols near mosques, shopping centres and banks in addition to other places that witness hectic activity.

The police have arrested some of the juveniles who confessed to their crimes and they have been referred to the Public Prosecution for legal procedures.
