Video: Dubai's bizarre beauty treatments, Part 3: Botox for the hair

As with all the treatments covered here, the words ‘revolutionary’, ‘new’ and ‘amazing’ often precede the actual treatment.

For today’s ‘Hair Botox’ the word is revolutionary.

The treatment specifically targets the restoration of lost protein in the hair by tackling each strand individually.

The product uses a three-step process whereby the hair shaft cuticles are opened up using the RG Cosmetics Clarifying Shampoo, the Hair Botox is then applied so that the active ingredients penetrate the cuticle and finally heat is applied to fully activate and seal the ingredients into the hair.

It claims that the protein-rich formula restores the hair from the inside out by injecting essential nutrients into the damaged hair shaft's core; leaving in straight, shiny, soft and malleable for up to 10 weeks.
