A Filipino window cleaner fell to his death from a Dubai skyscraper in Business Bay on Sunday afternoon.
According to a report in '7Days', Raymond Manzanero, 23, died while working at Citadel Tower.
He has been in the UAE for just three months, said his employer - Liverpool Cleaning Services in Dubai.
A representative from the building said the incident happened about 12.30pm. The fall was captured on CCTV installed at the building.
“We have slightly unclear images of the man falling down. A man standing on the first floor was seen lifting his hands to catch the cleaner as he was falling down,” he said.
The employee said Manzanero died at the scene from injuries suffered when his head struck the ground.
Manzanero had been working using a rope and was not on the cradle. It is not known whether he was using a safety harness when the incident happened, or exactly how he fell.
“He has four sisters and one brother who live in the Philippines. He was not married,” the company said.
