Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated on Wednesday, the headquarters of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.
The new facility of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) was built at a total cost of Dh45 million.
A large gathering of invitees was present as Sheikh Hamdan unveiled of the memorial plaque on the edifice, located in Al-Warsan 3 in Dubai city.
After the official opening, Sheikh Hamdan went around the facility covering a total area of over 270,000sq feet.
While visiting various sections, Sheikh Hamdan was briefed on the latest medical equipment and ambulance services provided by the corporation.
The new facility also houses training rooms and lecture halls to give training in ambulance services.
He was also briefed on the latest device to activate the lung and the heart in cases of emergency ambulance, which is the first of its kind in the region.
Honours medical institutions on obtaining international accreditation
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, honoured today 27 private and public medical institutions over obtaining international accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organisations.
The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has held a ceremony on this occasion, which was attended by Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, State Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Essam Al Humaidan, Dubai Attorney General, Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, Board Chairman, Executive Director of the Road and Transport Authority (RAT), Hussein Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, Qadi Al Murooshid, Director General of the DHA, Sami Dhaen Al Qamzi, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economic Development and a number of officials.
Among the honoured were Rashid, Dubai and Latifa Hospitals, thessalemia Centres, Dubai Airport Hospital, Heart Section at Rashid Hospital. The honoured hospitals are under DHA.
Flanked by Al Murooshid, Sheikh Hamdan honoured the medical institutions which received the international accreditation.
The Dubai Crown Prince said that the UAE puts human being on the top of its priorities through provisions of needs in accordance with the world class standards.
Ratifies regulatory bylaw on sports institutions in Dubai
Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his capacity as the Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, has issued a decision ratifying the regulatory bylaw on the sports institutions and clubs in Dubai.
The bylaw has been designed to implement the law No. 11/ Year 2009, which was issued by UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to commensurate with the new requirements and developments in the sports sector.
The decision No.8/ Year 2012 issued by the crown prince, consists of15 articles pertaining to all aspects of work, beginning from the formulation of a club and its board of directors, as well as its powers and functions up to the executive administration of the clubs including regulation of technical, administrative and financial functions.
