Roads and Transport Authority’s Licensing Agency is all set for the debut of Code ‘S’ vehicle plates bearing an array of distinctive four and five digit numbers today [Sunday, June 26, 2016].

Plates will be on offer to clients via customer service centers, service providers, RTA’s website, and Drivers and Vehicles App on smart phones.

Sultan Al Marzouqi, Director of Vehicles Licensing, RTA’s Licensing Agency, said, “The Licensing Agency is always keen on releasing new codes of licensing plates in an alphabetical order to meet the needs of public. Code S plates will debut on June 26 where number plate enthusiasts will be offered a variety of eye-catching plates.”

Buying S-coded plates (three, four and five digit plates) via open and online auction is possible through filling applications for direct sale in any of RTA’s customer service centers (Deira, Umm Al Romool, and Bur Dubai), or through Enoc Tasjeel at Al Barsha, or Al Mumayaz Vehicle Testing at Aswaq Al Mizhar. Five-digit plates can be purchased through RTA’s customer service centers, online (www.rta.ae), or service providers such as Tasjeel, Tamam, Quick, Shamil, Wasil, Al Mumayaz, and Cars in addition to auto dealers who have vehicle registration service. Issuing this new code is intended to meet the needs of community members who have great passion for this particular code.

“RTA always seeks to bolster its online services through encouraging clients to use smart apps released frequently, such as Drivers & Vehicles App, which is available on main platforms of smart phones (Apple Store, Google Play). Numbers and plates services have been integrated in the App,” Al Marzouqi said.
