It is being hailed as the last of the great voyagers  and the Royal Caribbean International’s Mariner of the Seas is on its maiden call to Dubai, docked at Port Rashid.

The luxury liner can carry more than 3,800 passengers.

The 1,020-feet-long cruise ship sailed from Galveston, Texas, dropped anchor at Barcelona before making its maiden voyage to Dubai on Tuesday.

The cruise ship, one of the largest to have visited Dubai, will leave the emirate on Wednesday on an 11-night cruise to Singapore and China.

Aboard the Mariner of the Seas one can enjoy numerous amenities from inline skating tracks, nine-hole miniature golf course, a golf simulator, a full-size sports court with basketball court, three swimming pools and six whirlpools.

The ship also boasts the first onboard ice-skating rink and a Royal Promenade that stretches nearly the entire ship’s length.
