An Egyptian woman filed a law suit for a divorce from her husband, telling court she does not love him and that he is cold and does not know how to kiss.
Riham, who won the case, had told court in Nasr City in Cairo outskirts that she was forced by her family to marry her husband, Sami, and warned the judge that she could plunge into an illicit relationship if it fails to split them.
“He was cold, rude and intolerable after we were engaged but I thought he would change when we get married,” she told court, according to local newspapers.
“But on the first night of our marriage, I realised that he is not the suitable man for me. He will never make me happy. Although he is carrying out his marital duties, he lacks passion and frankly, he does not know how to kiss. This is a real problem for any woman although many people believe this is a trivial thing.”
Riham, whose age was not specified, said the problem is underscored when she watches romantic films.
“I remained strong and patient. I tried not to betray him not because I am afraid of him, my family or society but of God.”
Newspapers said her husband rebuffed Riham’s claims, telling court that he is not suffering of any problem.
“I am healthy and normal. I can prove it to you if you want.”
After marathon sessions and Riham’s insistence on divorce, the court decided to split the couple after it found that it was impossible for them to live together, they said.
