Fox News analysts have called for the assassination of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. “A dead man can’t leak stuff,” Bob Beckel, an American political commentator and a Fox News analyst, said on the Fox Business show ‘Follow The Money’, where he excoriated Assange for leaking the State Department cables that have roiled the world in the past week, and said that American special forces should kill him.

“We’ve got special ops forces. This guy’s a traitor, he’s treasonous, and he has broken every law of the United States. And I’m not for the death penalty, so if I’m not for the death penalty, there’s only one way to do it: illegally shoot the son of a b**ch,” Beckel said.

The other guests on the programme agreed with Beckel. “Obama, if you’re listening today, you should take this guy out; have the CIA take him out,” said Bo Dietl, a former New York City Police Department detective and founder of Beau Dietl and Associates, a corporate investigations firm.

“This man Julien Assange has in his sights one country alone and that is the United States. He is out after us. He’s a blackmailer, extortionist, terrorist,” said Joel Mowbray, an investigative journalist who was part of the panel on the show. “If the US actually wants him dead, they’re not going to go through an extradition,” Mowbray added.

“We do, every night, in Afghanistan, there are special operations forces that go after the enemies of the United States. This man [Assange] is an enemy of the United States,” concluded Beckel.
