A masked gunman in full body armor opens fire in a packed US movie theater showing the new Batman film Friday in a bloodbath which left at least 12 dead and nearly 60 injured.
Seventy-one people shot -- 12 now dead -- and one man, 24-year-old James Holmes, arrested. His photo was released by the University of Colorado, where he is a doctoral student in neuroscience. No criminal record, police say -- and a lone operator who came in high-tech gear with several firearms ready to kill.
