Wesley Sneijder is desperate to play in England virtually pleading with Premier League clubs Manchester United and City to come and get him.

‘The Sun’ reported that the Dutch playmaker, 27, confirmed on Sunday night he is on the transfer list at Inter Milan.

He said: ‘Inter need money and I’m for sale if there are clubs willing to pay the right price.

‘I don’t know what my future is.’

Sneijder has been linked with Community Shield winners Manchester United all summer - but bitter rivals City are poised with a £34 million bid.

Sneijder is in London this week for Holland’s friendly with England at Wembley on Wednesday.

He added: ‘As long as I am at Inter there’s no reason for me to choose between these two clubs.

‘But after the England game I’ve five days off and assume that after that my future will be clear.’

United chief executive David Gill has admitted the club could make one more big signing before the transfer window shuts.
