Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov has revealed that he still dreams of playing for Liverpool.
"I've been a Liverpool fan since a young boy," said the 32-year-old began his career in his native Bulgaria with CSKA Sofia before being granted a move to Celtic in the summer of 1999.
It was not until 2006 that Petrov finally realised his ambition of playing in the Barclays Premier League, when he move to Villa Park for £6.5 million.
Petrov, however, still wishes he had signed had moved to Anfield
Thus he is willing to swap his current situation with any Liverpool player having grown up as a Liverpool player.
"I'd swap with any Liverpool player because I'm a Liverpool fan," he told Match of the Day Magazine.
"It'd be great to have that experience. But sometimes dreams don't come true."
