10kg of hashish seized, 3 youths held after chase

Three Emirati youths have been arrested in a joint anti-drug operation by Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah authorities and 10kg of hashish was seized from their vehicle.

Anti-narcotic departments had advance information that the youths were planning to meet in Dhaid in Sharjah to transport the drug to Fujairah for sale.

Major General Abdul Jalil Mahdi, director of the drug enforcement in Dubai, said the arrested people also face the additional charge of damaging police vehicles in their attempt to flee. They were finally arrested on the Manama-Ras Al Khaimah Road.

Those arrested were identified as PMM, 23, AQ, 17, and HOC, 16.
