UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce jointly plan new strategy 2012-2016
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the first workshop for the Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) planning team responsible for developing the proposed new strategy 2012-2016 for the Federation.
The project team, which is led by Prof Hadi El Tigani, CEO of Abu Dhabi International Centre for Organisational Excellence (ADICOE), consists of representatives from different UAE Chambers including Dubai Chamber.
In his welcome address, Atiq Juma Nasib, Senior Director, Commercial Services Sector, Dubai Chamber, stressed on the importance of the project, its objective and benefits to the members of FCCI.
He said that on its part Dubai Chamber supports this project and will contribute to the development of the strategy which aims at developing technical and administrative policies based on best international standards. Nasib lauded the professional approach of the team and wished them all the success in the project.
On his part, Prof Tigani highlighted the project organisation, its dynamics, scope, timeline and deliverables, as well as its critical success factors, and next steps.
He said the new strategy will cement the Federation’s role as a supporter to the business community in UAE and will be based on the best international practices. He added that the team will launch an interactive communication online system which will help the team members to communicate better, pointing out that the exchange of expertise will help in the process of developing the strategy of the Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce & Industry.
