New logistics hub opens at Jafza
Dubai-based Centre Point Logistics (CPL) announced the opening of its logistics hub in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) on Saturday.
The new logistics complex occupies an area of two million square feet adding a notch up to Dubai's established position as a regional and global leader in the logistics sector.
"The timely completion of our logistics hub in Jafza will enable us to keep pace with the growing demand which signaled the regional economic recovery," said Saleh Saeed Lootah, Chairman, SSL Holdings, CPL's parent company.
"We aim to strengthen Dubai's competitive position in the global logistics sector through innovative infrastructure. The new hub offers a unique service to local and international third-party logistics (3PL) providers enabling them to provide their multi-national customers with world-class services in the Middle East."
CPL's ‘open architecture model’ is unprecedented and aims to forge strategic partnerships across the logistics industry to save resources, time and money while adding value to partners and clients through enhanced efficiency and competitiveness.
The new logistics hub also is strategically located to serve the needs of growing trade, export and transportation of goods in the Middle East.
For the first time in the region, third-party logistics providers will be able to provide their customers with integrated logistics services through a strategic partnership with CPL that offers warehousing, transportation, technical and skilled labor and equipment, and other operations management and logistics services in the Middle East, without the need for huge investments in infrastructure and operational facilities.
