10-year-old boy killed in toilet explosion

A freak toilet explosion in Thane, India, has killed a 10-year-old boy.

The youngster who was playing outside with his friends visited the public toilet to relieve himself, when the septic tank – located in the toilet’s corner – exploded on Wednesday night, reported Metro.

Rubbish that had collected inside the vent caused high-pressure gas collection inside resulting in the pipe exploding.

According to the municipal official, who visited the site, the ventilation was covered by rubbish due to which the gas kept accumulating inside the tank, creating high pressure, leading it to explode.
