CMARK opens Middle East support office in Kuwait
CMARK International, which supplies facility and logistics support services to businesses and government departments, has opened an office in Kuwait.
The United States company has signed a memorandum of understanding with Sabhan Logistics and Trading of Kuwait and Palmira Turizm Ticaret of Turkey. The agreement provides for the supply of fresh food and vegetables, dairy products, and potable water as well as engineering and light construction services.
The field support office is located in a 200,000 square foot refrigerated facility in Kuwait's Sabhan Industrial Area. Riad Halaby will be the primary point of contact for the facility.
"In addition to continuing to offer supplies to our existing defence department customers in the Middle East, CMARK will now start offering value-added facility and logistics services including building maintenance and operations, construction and food service," said President and CEO Charles Jones.
"This additional resource will allow CMARK to better fulfill contract opportunities on the US Army's new LOGCAP IV programme, as well as assisting with increasing our market share with the US State Department, major US defence prime contractors and some foreign government requirements in the Middle East."
Last year CMARK generated revenues of $511,000 (Dh1.87 million) in the Middle East and has generated $535,000 revenues in the region so far in 2008.
CMARK provides a wide array of facility and logistic support services including construction, architectural design, food service, furnishings and maintenance, and operation services with a focus on US federal facilities.
The company recently announced that corporate sales for the first seven months of 2008 totalled more than $8,700,000, an increase of more than 74 per cent from the same period of 2007 and 139 per cent over 2006.
The positive results were attributed to the company's business development efforts resulting in sustained contract awards.
The company operates out of eight offices throughout the US with support facilities in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. CMARK has opened a new office in Florida that enables centralisation of all its corporate finance functions.
