Emirates promotes nationals to key management roles

Emirates said yesterday it has made a number of key appointments in order to boost its senior management team with UAE nationals.

"The airline is committed to the recruitment of UAE nationals into its 40,000-strong workforce," the airline said in a statement.

It said to mark the same, Mohammed Mattar, Nabil Sultan and Adnan Kazim have been promoted to Divisional Senior Vice-President (DSVP) levels.

Mohammed Mattar has been appointed as the DSVP Airport Services, while Nabil Sultan has been appointed as the DSVP Revenue Optimisation and Distribution.

And Kazim becomes the airline's new DSVP for Planning and Research.

"All these promotions are an example of our ongoing staunch support of career progression for our Emirati workers.

"We have made several key appointments and the combined experience of all these talented individuals ensure we have a strong team in place to tackle the challenges of the future," Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group said in the statement.
