Mandelson praises Metro

British Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, Peter Mandelson, has praised the use of the latest technologies in Dubai Metro Project and lauded the deluxe finishing of the metro coaches and stations.

He also praised the efforts of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in expediting the construction of such a vital project in a record time.

He was speaking during a meeting with RTA Board Chairman and Executive Director, Mattar Al Tayer. The meeting explored ways and means of boosting relations and the exchange of expertise between the RTA and the British organisations engaged in road and transport sector.

Al Tayer briefed the visiting British Minister on the details of Dubai Metro Project. Al Tayer later accompanied Mandelson on tour of the Trade Center Station on the Red Line.
