RTA opens Jumeirah Lake interchange

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a part of the Jumeirah Lake Towers interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road, designed to smoothen the flow of traffic heading from the city to the Jumeirah Lakes Towers and Jumeirah Islands area.

Further stages of this interchange will be opened by the end of November, the RTA said.

Maitha bin Adai, CEO of the Traffic and Roads Agency at the RTA, said this was one of the vital projects developed by the RTA, which when complete will allow direct access to areas such as Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach Residence, etc.

The project, with an estimated cost of Dh475 million, is considered an important part of the Sheikh Zayed Road up-grade plan.
