Al Muteena planning approved

Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Municipality, yesterday approved the draft amendment to the planning system of Al Muteena area, between Muteena Street and Al Rashid Road.

Hussein Nasser Lootah, Director-General, Dubai Municipality, said the aim was to develop the planning of areas in Dubai in line with the strategic targets that serve the city's aspirations.

Lootah said the municipality has conducted a planning study to develop the area. The aim is to curb haphazard building in the area, he said, adding that the municipality has co-ordinated with the RTA and Dewa and all bodies concerned to develop Al Muteena district.
