Sinochem quits Iraq oil field consortium

China's Sinochem International has withdrawn from a consortium led by Cnooc, the Hong Kong-listed unit of China National Offshore Oil, to develop the 2.5 billion-barrel Missan oil field complex in southern Iraq, an Iraqi oil ministry official said. Turkish Petroleum, known as TPAO, has joined the consortium instead.
