Damac's Egypt unit given ISO certification

 

Dubai-based developer Damac Properties yesterday said its Egypt operations have achieved the ISO 9001:2000 certification. Damac has launched five developments in Egypt including the private gated communities of Hyde Park and Centre Ville, and the twin retail projects catering to the east and west of Cairo, Park Avenue-Alex Desert Road and Park Avenue-New Cairo. The ISO 9001:2000 is a world class standard created by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), which Damac Properties Egypt has implemented through a quality management system in various business functions such as marketing, sales, property development and customer relationship management to ensure the company as a whole meets the needs of it stakeholders, the developer said in a statement.

Damac was awarded the ISO after an independent audit by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), a risk management company based in the Netherlands.
