5 killed in explosion as a US refinery suffers worst mishap in years

A blast and fire that killed five people at Tesoro Corporation's Anacortes, Washington, refinery yesterday may be the worst fatal accident to strike a US refinery since a 2005 explosion killed 15 people at BP's plant in Texas City, Texas. The early-morning explosion on the Good Friday holiday rattled houses more than a mile away.
