MoE to set up committee to streamline communications

The Government Communications Directorate at the Ministry of Economy organised recently its first meeting for the co-ordinators of various departments in preparation for setting up a committee to streamline and manage the internal and external communications of the ministry in line with its media strategy.

Representatives from all departments of the ministry participated in the meeting, in which the aims and objectives of the government communication office was explained.

The Government Communications Office was established by a UAE Cabinet Decree No 10/29 for the year 2008 with the aim of substantially improving the internal and external communication channels in the federal government of the UAE. It deals with the media liaising and other communication vehicles.
