Sarkozy begins two-day visit on Monday

President Nicolas Sarkozy of France will begin today a two-day state visit to the UAE.

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler of Abu Dhabi, will review with Sarkozy relations of friendship and co-operation between UAE and France in various fields. They will also exchange opinions on a number of issues and topics of joint interest.

On his second visit to the UAE, Sarkozy will be accompanied by a high-level political, economic, cultural and parliamentary delegation, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Bernard Kouchner; Minister of Economy, Industry and Employment Christine Lagarde; Minister of Defence Herve Morin, and Minister of Culture and Communication Christine Albanel.

The French President last visited the UAE in January 2008.
