Sheikh Hamdan gets HD from Kiev University

Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, has been conferred an Honorary Doctorate by Ukraine's Kiev University in recognition of his contributions and services to stimulating the UAE economy, encouraging joint investment and supporting education in developing countries.

Sheikh Hamdan received the certificate yesterday when he welcomed a delegation from the university led by Vladislav Kaskayev, Ukrainian Member of Parliament and Advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

Kaskayev handed Sheikh Hamdan an invitation from the Ukrainian premier to visit Kiev. Sheikh Hamdan said the honour was a tribute to the UAE. (Wam)
