Sheikha Lubna named Woman Achiever
Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, the UAE's Minister for Foreign Trade, has been awarded the FLO Special Woman Achiever Award by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry's Ladies Organisation, in appreciation for her role in development of women in the UAE and the world.
Commenting on the award, Sheikha Lubna said: "I am very honoured to receive the award. I shall take home this recognition on behalf of all Arab Muslim women who aspire to achieve more for the betterment of society."
Sheikha Lubna urged women to evaluate their strengths, and said that hard work and dedication would ensure excellence in all fields. She added that women have assumed important roles in business, politics and society "using our unique approach to moulding a better world" and cited the success of women in India. (Wam)
