UAE and Algeria vow to broaden trade relations

The visit to Algeria by General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has resulted in a host of understandings, initial deals and serious talks on broadening co-operation and boosting the presence of UAE companies and institutions in Algeria's vital economic sectors.

Officials of UAE firms like Tawazun Holding, First Gulf Bank, Al Maabar International and Abu Dhabi Ship Building held a series of meetings over two days to set a proper ground for the co-operation process.

Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority Khaldoun Al Mubarak said the visit was important for co-operation between Abu Dhabi and the UAE, on the one hand, and Algeria.

Mubarak said several vital industrial projects will materialise soon.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Department of Planning and Economy Nasser Ahmed Al Suwaidi said several energy, industry and real estate development projects were discussed.
